I plan on using these for a bread knife handle. The match grain is actually very nice for the price, and the finish condition is very nice. So far, I've only made a couple of these, so technique and polish needs work, but I'm at the point where I'm getting brave enough to use better wood (my first bunch were made from golden or white oak, which I got free from scrap at the mill). I feel like these are excellent for the money!
