I don't get the HATE for this album! I'd been to 12+ Mom n' Pops stores & even more BIG retailers incl. Best buy and NEVER saw a copy of this album! Thanks to the "Homework Challenge" on the Three Sides Of The Coin podcast, my reply to it & co-host, MARK CICCHINI & Amazon, between 9/21 and 9/29, my Android device has spun Amazon's Digital Download o1x to 2x per day for 9 days!!! Here is MY "Retro Review".....Is "One For All" my favorite Peter Criss solo album? NO......BUT! More on this album in a few paragraphs....No, actually "Criss - Cat #1" is! "Criss - Cat #1" is, IMHO, a perfect blend of what every Peter Criss and/or KISS fan diggs about the OG CATMAN!"ONE FOR ALL" has your "Hooligan", "Dirty Livin'" & "Strange Ways" type Criss tunes as well as his "Hard Luck Woman", "Beth" & "You Matter To Me" type tunes & my favorites of the LP are "Bad Attitude", "Good Times", "Blue Moon Over Brooklyn" as well as an ACOUSTIC re-working of his HIT SINGLE "BETH" & a guest appearance by fellow "BAD BOY" "Space Ace" on three tunes 3...hmmm, where have we seen the #3 before in regards to Mr. Criss? <------- SEE WHAT I DID THERE? CLEVER, EH?BACK TO THE TOPIC AT HAND...."ONE FOR ALL"!!!The albums musical focus is Peter's LOVE of Jazz, Big Band, Swing, Rhythm & Blues (not the crap they call R&B), and Soul music. I've often thought Mr. Criss sounded similar to ROD STEWART esp on "Hard Luck Woman" Ohhh, that Soulful Rasp!He's said in interviews that a rockin' CD is forthcoming. Personally, it'll make a GREAT follow-up to "One For All" & possibly get folks to re-visit 1-4-All!
