I love this book so much I have three copies. One to loan, one I pulled apart to trace and one to keep on the shelf in good condition. The patterns are well made, the instructions are easy to follow and the results are very nice. Not many of the patterns need tweaking, but I REALLY disliked her two dinosaur patterns.Brontosaurus - not a very great pattern. Very simple.Triceratops - a better pattern, but I don't’ care for the simple tube legs. The head frill is nice, thought.Unicorn / Horse - Now THIS is a very nice pattern. It’s a very good horse pattern with a wonderful head. It’s the reason I bought the book!Penguin - this is a cute pattern, very nice.Lamb - another cute pattern that’s well made.Rooster - the tail is made from ties, and it’s creatively done. I don’t care for the feet, however, as they’re just wire wrapped in tape.Bat - much like the rooster, it’s flaw is its feet. If you made little feet covers instead of just raw pipe cleaners, this pattern improves tremendously. As it it’s an adorable bat, something I haven’t seen much of!Cow - The cow is really nice, but I don’t think the leg gussets are quite right. I had to tack the legs in a little to keep them under the cow. It has an udder, and that’s wonderful.Jointed Bunny - a standard teddy bear bunny that’s nice enough. The following animals are made both in reclining style, and in teddy bear style. There are standard clothes patterns, too, a dress, bloomers, apron and jumpsuit. Think Little house on the Prairie. The Teddy Bear, Bunny, Mouse and Elephant do not come with reclined poses.Kitty - comes in Calico and Siamese. To make a non-Calico just use the Siamese head with the same color.Lamb - While I like the reclining lamb, I don’t care much for it as a teddy, but it is really cute.Fox - This is a really nice fox pattern. Both teddy aand reclining are wonderful.Dog - The dog is a kind of wiener dog, but somehow resembles a retriever, in a way. It’s very cartoon looking, but in a good way, and is cute.Teddy Bear - This is a standard teddy, nothing too special. But it’s nice.Bunny - This is on the cover, and it’s as cute as you’re expect!Mouse - The mouse is OK. If made smaller, and with a less fuzzy fabric, I would enjoy it more.Lion - I don’t care for the teddy lion, but the reclining one is really nice.Cow - A different cow then the one from before. The teddy cow is nice, but I like the other cow better.Fawn - The fawn is nice, and comes with instructions on how to wire the nose for Rudolf. The reclining one is precious.Piggy - A nice teddy piggy. It makes me wish I liked piggies more!Elephant - The elephant head is really nice, I like this one.Unicorn / Horse - I like the other horse pattern, but this one translates so well into a hobby horse! All in all this book is well worth the price and shipping if you’re into animal patterns.
