I hesitated to buy these based on the reviews, but I will tell you what I found to be true and not true about these mats.FIT --They fit perfectly. I can imagine some people want the driver side mat to go all the way up behind the pedals, which is the only thing I can imagine they are saying about them being too short. Upon doing any research, the driver side mat was made shorter so it could never get caught up with the pedals, etc. I can imagine Toyota to err on the side of caution when they were designing these.ODOR --They do smell like chemicals, probably the ones used to make them, somewhere in a factory which also smells the same. Don't let this steer your decision.. It takes a short time out of the plastic bag for the trapped odor to fade. Just sit them outside, or wash them. HINT - Do not open the packaging with your mouth.PACKAGING --These did not come rolled up, they were flat in a large box. That may not have been the case previously, but someone caught on and ship them flat now.QUALITY & CONSTRUCTION --These are thin compared to heavier duty / bulkier mats, but by no means are lacking in durability. Not sure much that could wear these down. Some people mention they are not deep enough to hold water, but if you were looking for a kiddie pool, this is not for you. It would at least keep most of what you could throw at it in and around the area you keep you feet, assuming the floor is where they will spend most of their time.
