Product Description

Does God talk to us through “signs and moments?”. Many believe they come to us not when we want them but, when we are ready. St. Ignatius said, “Finding God in all things is possible”. God is present in our daily lives. We just need to look for Him, to know He is there and to recognize what He has put in our path. How does it happen, that a self-proclaimed adventuress goes on a bucket list adventure to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and ends up on the Oprah Winfrey Show? The trek on the Inca Trail was the beginning of a spiritual journey that not only included Oprah but, a Human Rights Award and many God signs and moments that are told in "The Sand Dollar Cross". As you read the stories of everyday and famous people, you will see that St. Ignatius was indeed right. You will be drawn to look to your own life to find those God signs and moments and you will find that they are indeed there.

When I started reading The Sand Dollar Cross I couldn’t stop. The chronology created suspense to find out what happens next. Your experiences indicate ideals desired by most of us, and how they played out for you are an inspiration. References to epiphany, synchronicity, and serendipity remind the reader about the mysteries of life and the probability of positive impacts. The factual stories of actual events make your book more impressive than any fiction could be.I particularly liked the treatment of “purpose” in Chapter 2, and the reference to Mountains & Minds on page 34. But mostly, I like the overall theme emphasizing service. My work in psychology indicates that personal well-being comes from concern with a realm beyond immediate existence and a goal of contribution to something external to one’s self. Your book is a good example of this.
