I bought this lil alien for my fiancés guitars it’s been clipped on them ever since. We uses it all the time. Would recommendI skipped over this tuner at first when looking for one. I wanted a tuner that worked well and was hoping for it to be rechargeable. At a glance, I figured this was more of a cheesy toy for kids to put on their guitars. I ended up coming back around because all the tuners I looked at had negative reviews. This one had pretty good reviews and didn’t cost very much so I gave it a shot. I’m really impressed with it so far. It’s not rechargeable but it’s half the price as one that is so I can buy batteries when needed and it’ll work out the same.PROS: Display lit - Adequate accuracy/indicator for basic amateur or beginner - Somewhat cuteCONS: Alien is large and clunky - Awkward to place on some instruments. Somewhat heavy on the instrument - The display is not sharp (fuzzy and not precise)- The alien (plastic cover) must be pulled/bent back (does not come off) the tuner to awkwardly expose/ work with the thin, CHEAP ill-fitting battery cover - not a good valueBottom line: Not recommended - Would not purchase again - Would not use a gift - Not worth the cost to return - Will purchase a different brand from a music store.Greater tuner, spot on! easy to use. Works just as good as a more expensive one.Took me a moment to figure out where the battery went but otherwise- super cute and easy to use. Makes me laugh every time I see it.This product is a bit more complicated than I expected as I only use it for my mountain dulcimer. It’s a very good tuner and angle adjustment makes a very convenient unit. However, the cuatro guitar is a medium size string instrument and the clip bearly extended. The expansion is limited making it unable fit larger string instruments. But very useful to those instruments it can clip on to.Its goodFun gadget for those looking for something a bit different.
